Quite agree... Can't wait to start experimenting with some colours.

think you really only have to start worrying when you DO start to act your age. I know I don't act like my real age which is 54! I hope I never do!!

I saw the models before I got my braces on and the metal ones were considerably smaller- I figured that if people were going to notince something was going on with my teeth I might as well get the metals ones- they were smaller and erase any doubt about what is going on with my teeth. :pinkbraces:

More ponderings about life with braces:

1. I could feed the hungry world wide with what food is left behind in brackets (gross but true).

2. Ligs change color once they are stretched around brackets- what was once a very cool shade of hot pink becomes a rather sedate pink.

3. Having braces is great for fingernails! (I can't bite them any more and am forced to take proper care of them).

4. My waterpik is my new best friend

Yes, why is that about fingernails? I've noticed this too. Can't even bite the small little tags of skin that form near the cuticle. VERY annoying!

Not too much to report- Am patiently waiting for June 18 Bottom Brace day. (alright maybe not so patiently waiting :? ) no real pain- I do feel the pressure of teeth subtly moving-and can see how much straighter teeth are. No real traumas- I eat mostly what I want (no nuts or chips of course or anything too hard) and just brush like a maniac.

LOL "brush like a maniac" hahaha, funny but true hehe :)

Glad you are not in any pain! i know, waiting is the hardest part I think! (but then, the pain lol) I hate waiting for things and hopefully time will fly by and before you know it you will have your bottom brace on :)

How are your ligs holding up? Mine are still baby pink lol, no staining which is awesome! I think they had faded a bit, but that is better than staining :)

Rhibee--Ligs holding up well- they pretty much look like they did the day they put them on (a little thinner- guess its from all the brushing). I am sorry you are experiencing so much pain with your braces, once I got past the first few weeks in braces, mine mostly been just a minor annoyance except for a few days after adjustment.

Winkos- Just jump in with both feet!! once they are in you will find out it's no big deal- most people don't even notice my braces. I guess I should say most adults don't notice- the kids pick up on it quite quickly and usually comment about my colored ligs and on how cool I am- works for me :)
