I should have gone to bed a half hour ago, but I am so avoiding the 20 minute floss that I am still awake, reading this forum. Does it get faster and easier with time? I have worn metal braces for 11 days and can't seem to cut the time down. The pesky molars are hard to get to, my cheeks keep getting in the way.
i got braces 9 days ago, I bought a waterpik before I got them on and I believe it's one great purchase, spend the $50.00

Getting my bottom braces today and dreading how much longer its going to take me with both braces! Not to forget the extra beauty routine that goes with being a women. I top 5mins with oral and facial care with just ceramics and thinking that would be 20+ from tonight!

I was a big fan of Oral-B Superfloss, but I just discovered these Dentek Braces flossers, and I LOVE them. Before I was braced I always flossed with those little disposable flossers, and now I can use them again. I was pretty skeptical that these things would actually slide behind the wire, but they're super slim and they actually work! I keep a few in my purse at all times now so I can floss pretty quickly and easily now, even away from home. I agree on the WaterPik too; I use it at least once a day as well. But these lil guys are now my favorite braces tool. :)

I still urge everybody to try FlossFish. All you need is one. Lasts forever. Takes me two minutes to floss now.

Those look very interesting and quite inexpensive online. I ordered some to try. I apparently am trading my fascination with power tools with dental doo-dads. Perhaps I need my T level checked.

@plug- I'm intrigued by the Floss Fish. Looks easy and effective.

@Maria- WaterPiks are at any big box store or drugstore. We got the Ultra at Wal-Mart for almost $20 less than Walgreens was selling it. Or of course you can buy it online.

Well the good news is that I have flossing down to 5 minutes now. I think repetition has allowed me to become much faster at this. Very grateful for the product recommendations that have been posted. :)

Thank you! I was just looking at them online. I dont feel like I'm getting very far with the threader and floss. I used to use the little picks too so I'm eager to try these out.

I use the tepe brushes - don't know if I've already said that but at my last hygenist appointment (yesterday) she said I was doing such a good job with them not to bother coming in in 3 months and wait 5 or 6 because she had hardly anything to clean - my appointment was only 15 or 20 minutes long!
