Welcome back  I totally know the feeling of having to pick stuff out for hours! I eat grainy bread for lunch sometimes (I used to eat it all the time but sometimes I can't be bothered with the clean up now) and it seems to reappear forever, even if you brush

Too bad about needing wax :( I read somewhere you can use chewing gum. I tried it once. It wasn't a complete disaster but not as good as wax (works okay if you're really stuck though). I live in a place where it's tough to get wax too unless you go into an ortho's office.

I had lots of fun walking down the beach at night with a small flashlight in my mouth then taking it out right before passing groups with kids in it and opening my mouth to show off my glow in the dark choppers!! I think there were quite a few very surprised people on that beach- the kids all thought it was totally cool LOL- my partner got a chuckle out of it but not nearly as much as I did.

I have hit the "braces boredom" stage. I am not noticing much movement, and now that I have adjusted to the bottom brackets and am not raw anymore, am totally bored with the whole thing. I guess its a good thing since my obsession with my braces did take up a whole lot of time.

What would you like to happen to make it more interesting? I've hit the same stage when everything appears to have slowed down so can't wait for my first adjustment in a month's time.

Now I just want my teeth to be straight so i can get these suckers off and eat all the things I don't eat anymore because of the pain it is to clean it out of my braces.

I have approx 13-15 months left- oh boy! NOT!

That last comment sounded kind of negative- I am just tired of having to weigh each eating decision so carefully- honestly it is worse than counting calories when I am trying to lose weight.

I am still rockin the braces with pride and a general good attitude- and am glad I chose to be braced. There are just some days when I really want to eat pecan encrusted (insert favorite fish here) without having to worry about a 15 minute cleanup afterward, not to mention that eating said dish in public has the potential to be quite embarrassing and possibly unpleasant for innocent bystanders. :-*

2 more weeks until next adjustment. I have finally noticed some movement in my bottom teeth- looking forward to seeing what ortho has to say about what is next.

I have been so busy that I hardly have time to think about my braces lately... maybe this is a good thing :)

Trying to get caught up with everyone. :D

Good luck with your adjustment next week!!

I know how you feel about sometimes just wanting this process to hurry up!!! its only been 3 months for me and somedays i am thinking "god what i have done! these things are gonna be with me for another year or more yet!!" then I look at my progress pics and how my teeth used to be, and i think "this is the best thing i have ever done!" so i guess we have our ups and downs, but i think it really will be the best thing we have ever done :)

what colour ligs will you get at your next adjustment? i have a funny feeling i wont be getting colour next time, cos my ortho said to me "you can have colour this time but i think next time it will just be grey powerchains!" i dont think they have them in other colours!! i am gonna have to ask, cos how boring!! lol.

cant wait to see some pics from your adjustment :)

Good luck with your adjustment! And I hear you on the clean up! I miss sushi SO much but all that rice, ugh! And I'd give anything for a bowl of Special K that didn't need dynamite to blast it out of there!!!!
