Well, I am down to 3 days! I just bought my waterflosser Ultra. Extra wax and little tiny brushes. Nervous? After all this time? YES!! :? Question...I have read on here about mouthwash..and should use without alcohol...can anyone tell me why ?

I am stocked up on lip balm. Fridge is full of pudding and yogurt!! Braces are Tuesday morning. I am taking an extra day off...I go back on Friday.

I have decided my first family member to see me with my braces will be my daughter. I will stop by her place of work when I head home. :jump:

jeniK, know you are excited. Hope your bracing goes well. Take a Tylenol with you and take it when you leave the office. Then go and eat a regular meal 'cause you probably won't eat a regular meal later in the day. I had lots of Mac and cheese last week but have had more normal food this weekend, five days in. Chewing is not a problem. But I can't bite anything with my front teeth. I'm so thankful, though, that I have managed and have not felt hungry or deprived. Take plenty of wax if your ortho office offers. I have gone thru three of those little packs in five days but it has been great in keeping my mouth from getting sore. I rinse with salt water, water pik and then brush and so far, so good. We can handle this!!! Keep us posted

I am down to 2 days eeep! I have the WaterPik, I have the Mac's silicone earplugs, I have the little brushes too! I am not sure about the mouthwash... forgot about it actually....
I have applesauce in the cabinet, but not too much else. I really need to get my food in order... sigh....
My daughter is coming with me to get my braces put on. She already has braces, so keeps telling me how much I will hate them... But is being supportive with the tips and tricks to food removal out of brackets..
OH boy, I wonder how much sleep I WONT get tomorrow night.... my mind will be so busy I will not be able to turn it off....
