What is your favorite brace food?

I ate lots of pasta in the beginning.

I got some new powerchains this week and had to adjust my diet again. I found a perfect food yesterday. Sweet corn tamales. Soft masa and soft sweet corn filling. Not a lot of texture contrast, but at this point, it is the flavor that counts.

Do you make those?

No. There is a company that sells them throughout the region. I bought mine frozen and just warmed it up.

Yogurt & Nutella on sliced bread. Oh yeah.. and any type of soup (besides chunky's)

My favorite food is barbeque ribs. No problem since I've been braced up. I need to stay away from my favorite snack (pretzels). They are on my no-no list but I eat them any way. I haven't torn up anything yet

I love pretzels as my snack but I gave them up. I mainly eat with my back molars now and they are just too hard to eat.....I havent tried but chips werent the easiest and they are softer. Cheez-its are my new 'chips'.

well for me- today all food has been a challenge. I just got my braces today- and so far no pain from the teeth, but these darn molar bulidups!!! OMG!! I now only have 2 teeth that touch, so I can't chew any food well...
I think I am going to have a smoothie for breakfast tomorrow, and I will need to figure out the rest of my food later...sigh....

Well I can stand to loose a few pounds, so that will be ok My smoothie has almonds chopped up in it... interesting chewing bits of almonds with only 2 teeth.. and I have not even started on the cleanup

I usually eat anything when I'm use to the braces, but after a adjustment I eat pasta, ramen noodles, mac &cheese, ice cream, popsicles, Danimals Yogurt (Yes, I love this stuff even though Im over 18!), oranges, apple sauce, and chicken (If it's cut up).

I know this is on the no-no list, but I still eat chips, pizza crust, and popcorn! SHH! Don't tell my orthodontist! I haven't broke anything... yet!

You guys are gonna make me try popcorn. Maybe I will do it the night before an adjustment. I make homemade popcorn and its something I really miss!

Bananas - come in their own packaging, no prep necessary beyond peeling them, and they're soft enough that I can actually bite into them! For variety there are all kinds of fruit-flavored and chocolate dips - yum!

I love flavored Greek yogurt when I need a little pick me up, it's good for an extra boost of protein too
