So I'm a month into my first powerchain to close my top front toothed gap! YIPPEE! It has closed alot but still maybe opened a millimeter. Today I can't even really stick my tongue all the way into my gap and touch my gums because it's tight.
However, I feel like there's a little cut on my gums right next to my tooth but on the back side. I mean, the gums have to kinda go away, right? So is this just splitting opened to allow my gap to close up? Or am I just dumb and have a cut? HA

I'd be interested to know because I've been curious as to what's going to happen to the gum area between my gap, I still have a long way to go before i get there unfortunately.

Well, now I know what happens to the gums between your front tooth gap when it closes up... They get really angry at you!!!!!!
My gums on the back side are pretty sore and feel like I burnt the crap out of them with something hot. Of course, I can't stop running my tongue around there. The front side just looks swollen.

I had this issue too. I thought I burned it over something because it was sensitive and kind of swollen but it's completely gone now. Hang in there.

Thanks! It's definitely getting better. It's been a little over 2 weeks and I can floss between my 2 teeth without feeling like I'm being knifed! It still hurts a bit when I run my toothbrush over it though... but hopefully it'll feel better soon.
