can I use waterpik water flosser with a fixed bonded retainer?????

My ortho told me that WaterPix are great for bonded retainers. I bought a WaterPix about a year ago and love it. I know its controversial about whether or not it replaces flossing completely, but it's certainly better than not flossing.
