TrustGodAuburn wrote:Argh!!!! Yes, my upper arch even hurts to touch it with my tongue. And I noticed that when I try to drink or swallow that my front 4 teeth on top hurt something crazy! I'm not sure I know what I was thinking wanting a new wire!!! Lol
It's 1:38am and I'm awake with the mouth pain. Just took some Advil, hoping it helps soon.
Do you happen to know what size the wires are? I've had my new wires 0.016s on for a week now and I'm still in pain, it's starting to subside now.
Good photos, the uppers are looking pretty straight.
Well, it's been a week since I had my 2nd adjustment and I have to say, my bite is ridiculously off. I mean, it's been off anyways in the front, but now even my back molars are crazy off and hitting in an odd way. I have to concentrate on holding my teeth apart so I don't feel it.
The pain on my top arch is much better though, unless I bite down. LOL.
Well, my teeth have felt pretty decent for the last week or so and then all the sudden today I woke up with horrible pain. It's so strange to me! I sneezed late last night and it caught me off guard I kind of chomped my teeth down together hard. I guess maybe that is what did it.
I've also been extra hyper aware of the brackets today.
I went in to see my ortho today to get a wire clipped that was poking my cheek. He looked for a second and said, lets just do your adjustment today! So, I had my third adjustment without warning. (It was supposed to be on Dec 30.)
On the top, I have the same wire, but he added wire ties to two teeth, the front left and tooth beside it. That was pretty painful but I don't know why, I think just the pressure of him pushing on my teeth.
On the bottom, I got a new heavier wire. My second pre-molar on the left has turned enough that he took the chain off of it. Woohoo. So now more hurry up and wait on these teeth to move.
He told me today that when he looks at my X-rays I have space for all my teeth, but when he looks at my teeth he just doesn't know if there is space. He said it may come to deciding how happy of a result I want if I want to keep all my teeth. He still says we won't know for another 6 months or so.
I'll post a pic update soon as I can put one together.
Thanks Anna.... I was feeling discouraged that my bottom has not changed any, until I did that comparison pic and I see that one tooth in particular has changed a lot... I guess we look at our teeth so much we stop seeing changes... LOL! Glad to do the comparison's ...it keeps me motivated. I look at Day 1 vs. my first adjustment pic and I had the most change then...

I was like that at first, but now it's just some days are worse than others...today being one of them...it's like I can almost visualize my top teeth being straight finally! I never thought I'd really have straight teeth and now I can see it happening!
