I thought I'd post an update with pics since I haven't been on here much. I'm not far from the 15 month mark into treatment. I had to reschedule my adjustment appointment I had set for the 4th of March because of the snow storm. :( so now I don't go back until the 27th...
My bite is improving, but still have lots to do in my opinion. I am not happy with my lower front teeth. I have two huge black triangles and they are not level anymore (like they were at 11 months in..) I also feel like my upper right canine needs rotated more and brought down.
That's all I need to complain about lol. I can't wait til my next appointment! I'm hoping to get finished this summer! I want these things off! I'm so over it!
I finally made the decision to quit smoking with the help of chantix. It's working like a charm. I'm 4 days quit today. I felt it was time after 15 years of smoking. It'll make wearing clear retainers after treatment a lot easier. Besides all the other benefits, I am doing it for my Daddy. After losing him in September to COPD, I knew he'd want me to quit and not go thru what he went through. I feel he is definitely helping me through it! :)

Your teeth are really beautiful, Bickerchick! You have made very great progress. Seeing how perfect your smile already is, I think you will be finished before this Summer!

Hello Bikerchick! Your upper arch looks great, your teeth look very straight, especially in the 4th photo. Your lowers need some more movement, I agree. Power chains will most likely close those gaps you have on the bottom, it looks like an easy fix to me. I'm a little dissatisfied with my lower teeth myself. My right central incisor seems to be sticking out a little more in comparison to my left one. I can't wait to go in on the 17th and bring this up!

Tops are looking awesome  The bottoms will catch up, don't worry :) And yay for quitting smoking! I quit about 8 years ago after my Dad had 2 heart attacks (smoking related) and had smoked for about 12 years or so. It was tough but the best thing I've ever done. You can do it :D

Black triangle is sooooooo big on my teeth. I am so worried that it won't close it at all.

Hello Everyone!! :) I had an adjustment this past Thursday. Ortho was pleased with my progress and it seems to me I'm still on track to finish early.
Here's what they did:
* double powerchains from canine to canine on the lowers to close up space and black triangle.
* closing spring attached to lower lateral incisors to close up large space between central incisors.
* double powerchains to close what's left of my upper left extraction gap.

That's all that was done this time, but my teeth hurt like a you-know-what. They forgot to put powerchains on my upper right extraction gap. I'll remind them next time. I am to continue wearing my elastics in a class II triangle. Those hurt so bad, and I'm awful at wearing them because they hurt so bad. I'm doing my best to wear them as much as possible this time so I can get these things off ASAP!
I go back in May, I'll ask for a timeframe then. :)
Will post updated pictures later this evening!

Thank you :)
Still have a few gaps but they are almost gone. Seems they are taking forever to finish closing up!!
