Dimples and extractions

#1 Post by System »

I've recently had extractions on the right side of my mouth and I've noticed that the dimple on my right side is not as deep as it was before the extractions. Sometimes it doesn't even appear when I smile. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Will the dimples come back once the extraction gap has closed off?

I had 4 premolars extracted before braces and my whole face was actually swollen for a while. I only have one simple and it didn't affect it in any way. I figure you probably have some facial swelling that will make it appear to be 'missing'.
I wouldn't worry about it. :)

Thanks for the reply. It does feels like it is more difficult to smile on that side so I hope you're right about the swelling.
