Hello :jump:

I am new to this forum. I had my surgery on the 1st of April.

I had 3 wisdom teeth taken out, my lower jaw moved forward and a genioplasty.

The best thing so far is that I can close my mouth properly.

I started to get feeling in my lower left left almost right away but still numb on the right side and my chin. I make a huge mess when I eat lol.

Just been re-reading this and noticed that LyraM45 and sydneysurgery will have now had their operations - hope you are both okay!

Hey guys, im very glad to say that my surgery went really well. The surgeon said my teeth were in such i good position that he removed the splint immediately after surgery. This means that i am already on a purie diet, so they dont expect me to lose any weight. Ive had no pain at all so far, but a bit of swelling which seems to have reduced over night. I can open my mouth about 1 finger, and have almost no numbness except for a spot below my right lower lip. Very happy with the results so far, i can already breathe through my nose better than ever. My movements were bottom forward 5mm, top back 5 mm and up to get rid of gummy smile. Ill put up some photos when i get home tomorrow. I came into the surgery having read so many stories about tough recoveries, both mentally and physically, so an relieved its been so smooth so far. Every case is different, so dont pay too much attention to all the horror stories.

I actually felt no pain at all in hospital. I pressed the button out of boredom though haha. I had the follow up appointment with my surgeon today, and he is happy with how I'm coming along. Feeling pretty tired and swollen today though. Apparently it only gets easier from now on!

 that's something I would do ! lol

bit gutted at the moment... thought the impressions yesterday and the surgeon appt next week meant that surgery was the next step... turns out it's quite possible that this will happen several time sbefore the surgeon thinks I'm ready :( Ortho thinks IZ am but fingers crossed for next week eh! xo
