Braced for 18 months now. Two appointments ago, I got a power chain on top and went with a soft pink. Last appointment I decided to be brave and went with dark blue power chains for both top and bottom...wow, are they ever blue!! Took a little bit of time, but I eventually got used to them. Next appointment, I think I'll go back to the softer colours. Hoping to get an idea of when they'll come off when I go in for my next appointment on the 15th.

Oh wow, you're looking good! Great progress :D

I just got my braces on yesterday so I have a long way to go. You probably don't want to relive the earlier days  but you're the only person I have ever seen with the bumpers on the lower brackets that I have. They are a pain to eat with! It will all be worth it in the end though (that's why I like seeing photos like yours!)

A bit longer than the initial estimate of 15-18 months.. but the day has finally come! They're coming off tomorrow!!! I must admit, I'm a bit scared of the process. I've been told (by my orthodontist) that ceramic are harder to get off and typically shatter. I have had 2 brackets re-positioned, and one of them just didn't want to let go. Pics to come!

Today went great!! My braces came off quickly and painlessly. The assistant was so giddy that none of them broke. Ceramics almost always shatter. Only 3 needed a slight tug, but there was really no pain or even discomfort during he entire process. I go back on Thursday to get my essix retainers.... 2 days of freedom! Woohoo! Pics below are before and afters from this morning :D

Congratulations and what a lovely result. Pleased to hear your brackets didn't shatter, that would have been an unnerving experience. Good luck with the retainers.
