Re: Inman aligners
I'm aligning my front 4 teeth the front two are crossed over. I've seen some movement already but still a way to go!
I think I'll go for the same retainer as you as the fixed one costs more to have

Re: Inman aligners
Hi everyone,
I am jumping on the Inman Aligner bandwagon! I had mine fitted last Tuesday, so now on day 8. The pain has generally subsided, and I am getting slightly less lispy when I have it in - although not by much.
My biggest issue at the moment is getting it back in after I take it out for meals and the occasional work phone call. Sometimes it slips right back in with no effort, but other times, like now, I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it back in. I have tried placing the back in first then slipping over the front, and then tried getting the front part aligned first and then slotting in the back - but it seems that it doesn't want to slot in my back molars - anyone have any good tips on getting it back in easily?
I have a dentist appointment next week - so definitely going to ask then, but at the moment I am leaving it out for longer than necessary as I just can't get it back in!

Re: Inman aligners
Hi All
I'm new to the forum. Had a palate expander put in about 4 weeks ago to get my arch ready for the Inman Aligner. After being told by 3 orthodontists over many years they could not correct my teeth as I had a narrow palate I was thrilled when I found a brilliant dentist who said it could be done! After 4 weeks I am amazed at the movement in my teeth already, anyone else had one? Not sure how much expansion they will get over the 10 weeks they said it would take.

Re: Inman aligners
Hi Hayjaybee. I did not have an expander, but I know many others on here have. I have had my aligner for 9 days and have probably read this entire forum to figure out what is going on in my mouth. I woke up this morning and I was shocked at the movement that has happened already. I am one of my dentist's first IA patients so I have found a lot of good info on this forum. He quoted me 4-6 weeks of total time to wear the IA, but after reading the posts on here I am prepared for 12+ weeks. Good Luck!
Re: Inman aligners
Hi RWB. I've started reading through some of the posts, loads of info on here. It's good to note that the weird gaps appearing and loose feeling teeth are quite normal! Finding it hard to chew but it's doing my diet a world of good!
Re: Inman aligners
Hi everyone.
Need a wee but of info. Im on day 5 and things are going good. But my dentist was saying I would need bonding. And that I will have black triangles at the end and I wud need to have filling to fill them. I was wondering has anyone else had this? And also how much did they have to pay because my dentist was saying it's not Inclued in the price . I had forgot to ask him all this. Thanks

Sorry Treece don't know anything about bonding. How are you getting on with your aligner? cant wait to get mine on but am needing expansion first so am suffering with an arch expander for a couple of months.
Re: Inman aligners
Is it possible to post pictures on here? I have some good ones. My teeth are moving quick!

Hi hayjaybee. I'm getting on good over a week now I've had mine in an I don't feel any pain or uncomfortable Watsoever which has me a bit worried I'm hoping the aligner is doing its job because I've read here quite a few ppl have had some type of pain with it. The only thing I had was my cheeks were sore the first few days were the aligner was rubbing against them and also my speech is still bad. How u getting on with the arch expander?

Re: Inman aligners
I think we have to post a few times and then we can put pictures on. Cant wait to see everyone's pictures.
Saw my orthodontist today and she says I can have my next set of impressions done in 3 weeks as my expander has worked so well! Not long until I get my IA fitted!!

I have had my IA for 16 days now. It is weird today is the first day that the anchor has actually sat down perfectly on my teeth. I can actually bite down on my back teeth now. I didn't know that was possible with the aligner. Also I noticed that my speech is almost normal today. I think the more your teeth move to their correct position the better the aligner fits in your mouth! I can also now speak fluent Italian ;)
If you guys have the iPhone app diptic it has been great for making progress photo spreads. I sent one to my dentist as I am his first patient to use the IA. I also think he will call me in if my progress looks like it is slowing. I see him every two weeks. How often do y'all go to the ortho/dentist?

Re: Inman aligners
I have been going every four weeks whilst I've had my expander on as I adjust it myself. How often do you go with an AI?
