Graduating 4 weeks after surgery?

#1 Post by palm55 »

Hi,

I'm supposed to have my graduation from grad school about 4 weeks (give or take) after a 3-piece Lefort I. I'm a little nervous about how close the timing is but am wondering if others have felt comfortable, and had enough energy, to attend large events like this so soon after surgery. Thanks in advance!

At 4 weeks you should be ok. I wouldn't want to make an 8 hour day of it... Staying hydrated and fed will be important too.
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!

You should be fine. You might still be a little puffy in the pictures, but I think you should be able to handle it. It might be a good idea to start including caffeine in your diet again on that day

After a month, you should be more than up to it, unless you are having to make a big speech or something.
