Spitting on Other People

Sometimes I notice that I have a particularly hard time at work when I'm talking to people on the phone--like I have to try really hard not to sound like Daffy Duck. That was yesterday. And then I started talking to a co-worker and I'm spitting all over her. Just like Daffy!! It's so embarrasing... :oops:

Anyone else had a problem like this--it's not all the time, just some days......and on those days, I have to try soooo hard, it seems, just to talk normal.... :Questions:

Yeah, it's normal. Lol. I don't really talk funny but I deal with accidently spitting on people as well as just drooling at random times. I think the drooling is the worse. It just happens out of no where and I'm really hoping no one saw it..... :oops:

That's hilarious AM! I haven't done the drooling thing. At my age--55--I might look like I'm ready for the "home" if I start drooling!!

and I thought it was just me......thank goodness there are others out there who feel they talk a little "off" from their normal. I hear my self talk a little off but wonder if others catch it....

Wow. Is that really normal to look/sound like you are spitting when talking to people with braces on? Hope it would not happen to me since it will be a problem for me because I am a teacher and I talk a lot!

Just issue the students in the front seats some protective rain gear and it should be fine. :gavel:

Good one!!

I spit a little bit here and there, but hopefully never on anyone!

Back in the fall, I was eating an omelet with spinach in it. I was at a restaurant sitting across from my in-laws. My palate was still numb from jaw surgery and while I was talking to my in-laws, I accidentally spat out a HUGE chunk of spinach onto my plate. I was mortified but they thought it was hilarious and were understanding. I still cringe when I think about it!

Will do.
But hopefully I can manage since my students with braces who talk to me do not really look/sound like spitting at all.

I find myself accidentally spitting on people regularly... Unfortunately it always seems to happen to strangers or customers at work, rather than people I know and am close to haha

I haven't spit on anybody yet but I do kind of sound like Daffy Duck. Thankfully I work from home and not on the phone. It still makes me feel awkward. I don't care what I look like in braces but the wierd way I sound now is offputting. I can deal with the pain and discomfort but not being able to talk without sounding like I have a gallon of spit in my mouth is just wrong. I did not see that coming when I got them put on. Heh.
