Are there any ways of obtaining a list of all BCBS orthognathic surgeons in Los Angeles?
I'm halfway through my pre-surgical orthodonotics with Dr. Relle, but due to the $21,000 quote for the surgery* I want to see if there's someone else in-network worth considering. I'm 99.9% sure I'm going to stick with Relle as he's up there with Gunson as the best surgeons in the region, but I just want to consult some other orthognathic surgeons to say I did basically, lol. Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks

You should be able to search for oral-maxillofacial surgeons in the area on BCBS's website.

Hey there, I'm in Los Angeles as well. I have Kaiser but been thinking about going to Relle for my double jaw surgery. He only quoted you $21,000 seems low.
Is he very booked? Thanks in advance

The website for your plan should absolutely have this feature.

I had to book my initial consultation around 2 months in advance, but you don't have to book that far ahead for surgery. The reason the quote is relatively low ($21k + $1k deductible) is that they're anticipating my Anthem BCBS will only pay them $1k, so I'm paying the $22k out-of-pocket entirely. The hospital + anesthesiologist will be covered in-network.
