How many times did you meet with surgeon pre surgeon

My surgeon removed my wisdom teeth and sent me to get braces back in October haven't seen him since. He said itl be 12 months before I can have surgery. It's been 6. I'm just wondering is it normal?

I think that's normal. That's similar to me. I met with my surgeon for a consult in Oct 2015. My next appointment with him is Nov 2016, for the pre-surgery workup.

Your ortho will have you make an appointment with your surgeon when he thinks you're surgically ready, that's when you do the pre-op stuff -- if the surgeon agrees with the ortho.

I had a consult with my surgeon before getting my braces and then check ups every 3 months until I was cleared by the orthodontist for surgery. Pre-op was a week before surgery then I saw him regularly for 4 months post op.

I had SARPE before my braces went on. In June 2014 when it had been 6 months since SARPE and 1 month since braces, I was told it'd be a year before I was ready for surgery. I don't think I saw my surgeon again until the day before surgery.

My case was fiendishly complex, so I had three or four visits just before/just after the braces went on. After that, I didn't see the surgeon until the final "run-up" to surgery. That took two or three visits.
