You'll find that biting into things is hard throughout the time you have braces on. It's easier when your teeth aren't so sensitive but your teeth aren't as strong as they were before.
Damn
Still no success on the biting front, but I can at least chew like a yak with the side of my mouth so that's an improvement haha
Currently it's my stupid oh so annoying enormous massive sticking in my lip like no one's business coil spring that's on my lower front teeth! Oh my goodness I've never been so annoyed by something! Some days it's fine and some it traps my lip and pulls at it so sharply!
My overall biggest gripe is that my teeth are so out of alignment that they don't meet at all on one side as my bite has opened so much and they're completely skewed on the other. I can't find a comfortable way to keep my teeth closed together and it's making my TMD SO bad
I've only been braced for 3 days, but so far it's the insane sensitivity in the front teeth. Moreso the 2 front teeth that have the bumpers on them so I don't bite down on my brackets. It's like there is so much more pressure on those teeth.
Hooks scraping and hooking my cheek/lips.
The fact I can't bite down and my molars don't touch.
Intensified saliva since being braced.. it's quite disgusting....
Since my one of my teeth is slowly but surely rotating, I seem to be getting some accumulated saliva stuck between two teeth, and I constantly feel it stuck, not being able to get it out it's so annoying!! I keep creating suction on purpose but it does nothing!!! I hope it gets better
Ana, the (probably) most paranoid and obsessed human being on this Earth. Big mistake, putting something on my teeth for years while I can freely obsess over it
Top braces (front and left side): February 21st, 2016 Top braces (full): ...... it was supposed to be a month later Bottom braces: probably never, at this speed!

I've got ceramic uppers and an overbite so folding my top lip over them makes me look pretty weird.
Does anyone else know what I mean?!
I have the same!
It feels a lot weirder than it looks to others, and you're still adjusting. I thought I had a weird face too trying to have my top lip over them but I'm 6 weeks in now and you can't even tell anymore with my lips closed!!
The holes the wires dig into the side of your cheek and since the braces have been put on I've become a grinder in my sleep. I'll wake myself up doing it.
Getting the spacers put in on my top molars. The assistant had to really work to get them in and it felt like she was pulling my teeth out. The pain from the spacers was way worse than getting the braces themselves on. Also, the feeling of having food stuck between your teeth 24/7 along with the pain and not being able to chew. Even oatmeal hurt.
I'm fairly new to braces to I have just about every symptom imaginable right now! sores, aching teeth, sensitivity, awkward talking and lip movement.. and to top it off my ortho put me in rubber bands day 1 so I feel like my jaw is being clenched shut.. all worth it in the end, right?
Lately feeling claustrophobic in the mouth. Can't move my mouth freely, not enough room and want to bust out of these. Constant ache you just can't escape. Oh and not really seeing improvement makes the hours drag on sooooo slowly.
