Will my treatment be affected?

#1 Post by chrislee »

Hi, so I have had Damon braces for about 3 months now, and the progress has been great. I have struggled with overcrowding before I got my braces, and therefore, I got these spring like objects between 2 brackets in order to create space. Within this spring, there was a barbed wire like substance that added some pressure to my teeth when I first got them. Unfortunately, I recently lost that barbed wire liked substance. I did not feel a change of pressure or anything when it fell out, but I'm afraid that the tooth will return to its original place. please help! It may be nothing and I might just be worrying about nothing, but you never know. thanks!

Call your ortho. None of us can answer precisely what the effect of losing something attached to your archwire will be.
