I'm OCD il probably end up ruining the brace scrubbing it haha! If the fixed one breaks might end up costing a fortune keep replacing it n would end up buying the plastic in the end anyway.
I work in a high school so I really don't fancy wearing it for work! Ha. Most days only work 8.30 - 2.30 so probs wear it similar amount u have.
I have an appt Monday for impressions and the one on 1st June to pick up. Booked the two in one go cos seems hard to get a appt after work time n didn't wanna get impressions n then wait another month for an appt to pick up xx

Is it normal to have wobbly teeth? My teeth started hurting last night so assume they are moving more but when I took the aligner out, my front 4 teeth wobble. I have had it in for 5 weeks tomorrow and not sure if it's normal or not? Can't remember how they were when I had a brace as a teenager

Picked up much nighttime retainer today. It's impossible to get out!

Currently sat here with my zoom whitening gel on in my customised trays. Let's see how white I get!

Yeah really happy. The whitening is done daily for 12 days. Then if I want whiter (joey essex/Simon Cowell style) I just pop back in and get more gel :) x x

Hi Beckie!

I go back in a few weeks to apparently have my impressions but my 2 front teeth are still refusing to budge even after he tightened it as much as he could. Maybe they will look better once they have been shaped as you said.
Do you have your night time retainer now? What is it like? xx

Maybe they are in their right/final positions now then?
I can't believe you are still going with it. I have been inman free now for two weeks and i feel like a whole new person! Haha. I had the wire on, at the back of the teeth and as soon as he fit that they felt more secure. Like they were cemented in place. Then I picked up the night time retainer the week later. He speeded up the process because I was terrified of them moving. The nighttime one is great! It's just like invisalign. It doesn't make your mouth feel disgusting. It's much more cumfortable.

Only problem I have is that, my teeth 100% have not moved and the night time retainer goes in easily. But, the inman doesn't fit now when I put it in. I think my jaw has gone a bit smaller. Which I'm not happy about. But my teeth haven't moved so I'm hoping it won't have any effect. I'm gonna ask the question when I go back next week for a review appointment.

Xx

Hmmm that's interesting. That is another reason that my dentist advised not to get a fixed retainer he said you can always wear the inman if you are worried about relapse. I still don't know which retainer I am going to go for.
I know feels like ages for me now but it's my own fault for not wearing it as much as I should. I really dont think they are in final position yet, they are exactly the same as when I went the other week to get it tightened they haven't budged since. He was convinced that they would be 100% straight he even said he didnt need to do any filing as there was plenty of room for them to move. It's my 2 front teeth I still need one tooth to go slightly back and one to come slightly forward. We will see! I wonder how long the night time retainers last? 5/6 years I have read? xx

Am I just being picky? Do you see where the problem is? From the front they look perfectly fine but when you look from underneath they are not straight. If he'd told me this was as far as they'd go I would have been fine with it but he said he was certain they will be 100% straight so now I won't be satisfied until they are ha!
I just don't see how they could possibly move any more now that I've done all 14 turns and 2 weeks ago he adjusted my brace as far as it would go but still no movement.
I'm on week 17 now xx

Wow they look amazing! I've read a lot of posts where people have been unhappy until they have been shaped by dentist n then they see how straight they are.

I collect my aligner tomorrow! Excited but scared about the pain ha. Been away this weekend and burnt all my mouth eating and it's so sore so probably going to hurt even more! I won't know what the actual pain from the IA is like.

At my consultation he said my teeth were a perfect case for the Inman. But ... He told me when I went back for impressions that I may need some clear aligners at the end to rotate the tooth that needs it an this would be an extra hundred or two hundred. Said he would call asap If that's the case once he heard from lab but he hasn't rang an my appt is first thing so hopefully lab said just an IA will do when they checked the impressions. None of u have has these clear aligners have u?

Hi Danni,

Wow tomorrow how exciting! That's gone really fast! No I'm not sure what the clear aligner is? Hopefully you won't need it. I'm back on Friday so hopefully have impressions done but I have a feeling he is going to file my teeth so they can move back a bit more first. Hope your appointment goes well. I didn't get much pain on the first day only a little but it was good pain it felt like it was really working. I was gutted when I woke up next day and it wasn't hurting ha xx
