I have just had my brace off, I was at dentist on the rock and I'm really happy with the results so I wouldn't worry too much. Although I did have check ups every month with filing/brace tightening most times. Mine were overlapped at the front and when they straightened and moved apart the bottom edges weren't even. So at my last appt he filed the bottoms to straighten them off. Front 4 were shaped. Made them look like different teeth! Just worried retainer isn't enough an they will move back now! Will attach before and after pics x

I hope he offers me the metal bar option - don't want to have to keep wearing a retainer forever :(

I'm getting both, as removable is included in costs but dentist likes the permanent. Hopefully having impressions taken for the wire on the 19th!

Hi dani!

I finished my IA treatment at the start of July and had the night time retainer. My teeth definitely were moving back and my IA would barely fit in my mouth after a few months. Anyway the retainer snapped the other week as I was cleaning it and I've been wearing my IA since!
I'm still not 100% happy with my teeth. They are straight when I wake up in the morning but one of my front teeth slightly sticks out by the end of the day I'm convinced it needs filing. I'm going to have a fixed retainer as soon as I get around to it I'm just worried because as soon as it gets put on you can't wear the IA X

If you are at dentist on the rock he will let you choose but he will strongly recommend the removable.

I just got mine fitted yesterday, little weird but sure I'll get used to it, much less bulky than wearing the aligner :)

Thanks, I'm really pleased with how they've turned out :) How are you getting on with your aligner?
