Hi. Well I'm in the UK. I have metal braces top and bottom. I am under a cosmetic dentist. Approx 10 months treatment with retainers and wire along inside of teeth to hold them in place when removed, will cost me £3,300. Cheaper and quicker than Invisalign in my case .

It varies. Adults are typically more than kids. I've read anywhere from $2000 up to $8000. Some areas of the country are less expensive; some more. Some folks have had quotes in their local area with a difference of several thousand dollars depending on which ortho they went to. Most dental insurance won't cover cosmetic orthodontics.
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!

I'm paying $6000 for two years of Metal Damon Braces and just about to pay off the remainder of that and supposed to be done with braces in August.

They also include two years of checking retention and obviously the retainers.
Lots of crimes here

1. The upper molars bite too far ahead of the lower molars

2. Missing teeth #s 9, 14, and, 29

3. Open bite

4. Upper midline left of center

5. Lower midline right of center

6. Upper and lower teeth not straight

Sentence - 24 months, turned to 27 month.

Braces removed since 11/06/17

I'm in the UK (East Midlands) and mine were £3300 also. Full metal braces for 18 months (ish, hopefully!) and retainers afterwards.

I'm in the UK (East Anglia) and my orthodontist quoted £3200 for metal braces or £3700 for ceramics. I went with the ceramics since the difference didn't seem that great.

My whole treatment (including study, x-rays, molds, braces, retainers for after the braces, bite plane and monthly appointments is supposed to cost just under 1900€ (something like £1650 or $2000) with a dental insurance that some insurance companies offer in Portugal, down from a regular 3500€.
