So I know it's completely normal to have a lot of mucous from the nose for a few weeks after surgery but I am coming up on 5 months and my nose is still more productive than it ever was before surgery.
It seems to build up in my sinuses every other day or so to the point that I can blow it out and then I feel completely clear for a day or so after that. It doesn't really bother me too much or affect my breathing but it's something I've never really experienced. Color is clear and there doesn't appear to be an infection or anything.
Has anyone noticed this and did it get any better?

Re: Increased mucous since surgery
It's only two weeks for me but am having a stuffy nose. I have a humidifier which helps. I hope this doesn't last long.

FWIW I've battled sinus issues for years. When your nose is making enough to blow it is so much better than not making enough. I suffered from a dry nose for a long time. Of course I treated it with nasal sprays and stuff, but it was never great; or free and clear. I'm not sure what happened, but my nose actually produces enough to blow now!
I know it might be a bit of a pain, but be careful what you wish for. I'd rather blow my nose and be able to breathe through it rather than be congested all the time.

Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!
