What did your ortho "give" you?

Oh wow! Some people got some really cool stuff!

I got a bunch of floss, about ten of those Christmas tree brushes, a travel ortho toothbrush, a regular ortho toothbrush, travel toothpaste and regular toothpaste, floss threaders galore, a plastic travel pack (like the old school pencil cases), a dental mirror, travel mouthwash, braces specific quick flossers, and wax.

My ortho told me to just get what I need from him instead of buying it at the stores. I'll get replacements as time goes on, which is pretty cool!

My original list of items were: travel toothbrush, wax, floss threaders, proxybrushes, toothpaste, floss, prescription floride toothpaste and lip balm. I think that's it. It's hard to remember.

I will give you a tip: the wax didn't really work well (I was lucky, I don't really get many mouth sores) but when I did they gave me smushy. So amazing!!! Has two tubes of a soft rubbery substance. When you push the plunger, the two strips come out. You mix them between your fingers and put it on the bracket. Stays forever yet easy to come off. Kind of a rubbery substance that comes off in one peice. It's also very smooth. I mostly use it when my teeth are hitting hard occlusally because they are out of alignment. Works great to let the bruising settle down.

Also anytime I need a refill of stuff I always ask. They give me whatever I need. I only really ask for prescription fluoride, smushy and sometimes a travel toothbrush if I need them.

I literally just got some wax because I asked for it. They weren't going to give me anything

- An hour glass for me to time myself when brushing

I got a travel toothbrush, a few packs of dental silicone and dental wax, floss threaders as well as a few of the prethreaded flossers with one end thinner so it can go under the brackets, a little brush to clean the food out from the brackets, a small thing of toothpaste and a tube of pomegranate scented lip balm which doesn’t thrill me nor bother me since I have no sense of smell anyway.

I ended up buying a little bag at Walmart for $1.99 and I ordered a kit on Amazon with the stuff I didn't get for $9.99.
