What kind of retainers did you get, considering the overjet? do you perhaps have any pictures of or with them?
Getting retainers this week. I thought I would definitely be having a fixed wire behind me bottom teeth to stop the overjst getting any worse. But when I saw them they said they might just be removables? I’ll post a pic when I get them. I’m mostly happy with how they are, although two of my bottom front teeth now hit the back of my top teeth, which wasn’t the case before. Still feels weird to have my teeth in these new positions and no braces on either!

So Ive got Essix retainers (clear, removable retainers), and a fixed wire bonded behind the upper front 6 and the lower front 6. Ive been told to wear the retainers at nightime. They are OK but were a bit uncomfortable for the first couple of days. Not confident that the upper bonded retainer is going to stay though. I think the bond has already come of one tooth on the end and I probably need to go back to the orthodontist. But so far the retainers havent been a big deal.

Congrats on getting your braces off! I found that using Glide Threader Floss made flossing with bonded retainers much easier.

All the Best,
