Your teeth do the same thing mine do! My front teeth are longer than the rest, and they nearly completely cover the bottom brackets. Did your ortho tell you anything about fixing that, or is it normal?

Not really sure but my ortho said that elastics will help correct the overbite?
Here is mine. Sorry for the gigantic picture, I tried to resize it at photobucket but I don't know what is happening, it either comes this large or this small, even though I ask to resize to 50% ...
do you have pics of your teeth before braces for a comparison?
Thanks so much! I only started taking pics in Jan. of 2004, so I don't have any proper ones of the beginning but I was able to find this in an old pic, it's the best I've got. It's of September 2002. You can see my bottom teeth weren't braced at that point...ahh freedom I didn't realize how nice it was till I lost it...
You can see the main difference is in the top left canine...that one was a baby one that had had some issues. The yellowness isn't decay, it's just that a part of that tooth chipped off when I was in kindergarten and that was the only thing they could get to permanently stay on there.
And here's a pic of January 2004...the closest thing I have to a proffesional before pic. You can see my 'big canine' hadn't come in yet...That wasn't my bite I was trying to show all me teeth it came out kind of wierd though...
Congrats on your teeth! They look really nice! And props for putting up with that expander-looking thing, I'm not sure exactly what it is but it looks pretty hard to deal with!

Karen~ I love your purple ligs on your clear brackets. Does anyone else find when they post pics that the ligs totally don't look like the color they are? My chains are actually a pretty dark teal and they don't look that way in my pics.
Made in 84~ Looks like you have had a lot of quick progress on yours.

Thanks, mtbrncofn! Today marks the official 6 month anniversary since I got my braces! I am thoroughly pleased at my progress. My only gripe is that with all this seemingly quick progress I'm afraid my teeth might revert back quickly after my treatment is over!
My ortho said I had strong, healthy teeth, so I think everything will turn out just fine at the end and I will have the rest of my life to enjoy the smile I've always wanted!
