just got braced an hour ago!

just got braced an hour ago!

Hi All!

Thanks for your help last night getting me prepped!

I just got braced....all went well...I hadn't thought about colors at all,
but then I thought the pink and teal looked cool, so the assistant tried
both colors on to see how they looked, and after vacillating for too long, I picked hot pink! What fun! I can't believe I did, and she couldn't believe it either, but I have pink and white beads in my hair now so it looks cute with that!

I'm talking okay and just saw my mentor who said they look fine and
are unnoticeable virtually. Some people haven't even noticed, its crazy, or if they did they didn't say anything...I have to teach in 3 hours with them...that should be interesting...

The only thing I'm still working on is the smiling/laughing thing...I smile big, but when i just grin, the braces peek out from in between my lips...weird...

This journey should definitely be an interesting one!

Congrats! And you are correct, the journey will indeed be interesting! Have you tried eating anything yet? Getting food lodged in 101 places is always fun. :lol:

I'm very glad thing went well for you this morning. I agree, this whole journey is incredibly interesting. So many things happen in the mouth when you have braces...

Congratulations on everything going so well when you got your braces placed.

The pink ligs sound wonderful. Next time youmay want to try alternating pink/teal or pink on one arch and teal on the other arch.

I hope your ortho treatment continues to be a fun process for you.
