Kind of Bummed

#1 Post by Ev's Mom »

Ok, so today I go in for a "regular" appointment; "regular" meaning nothing new, just a check to see if everything is still moving along. My first disappointment was when I was called back to the treatment area by my least favorite tech; she's very immature and kind of not so smart. So I'm thinking ok, no problem, I'll just talk with my ortho and ignore her. Disappointment #2: my favorite ortho is not available!! The senior ortho, who is very good but not very personable, came over and rubbed around on my gums, pulled my lips up, concurred with my elastics configuration, and said "Everything looks like it should, you're nearing the finish line, can you see any difference, see you in 6 weeks." And he was gone and the tech is gone and I am so "What?" !!! I pay off my balance ($2305.00 thank you very much), set up my next "regular" appointment and get in my car and CRY :-(( !!!! I am so mad at myself for not speaking up and mad at the ortho for taking off and just mad because my teeth are still just as "bucky" as when I was braced 15 months ago!!! :-+ Sorry for rambling on but I just needed to vent. Maybe I'll call tomorrow and talk with the other ortho--maybe I'll just wait until my next appointment and then take a stand--maybe I'll just take a trip to margaritaville. :-)o Thanks guys.

Thanks for the encouragement!! I've settled down some and I'm trying not to perseverate too much on the "finish line". Have a great day!!
