Anyone else get "inner fangs"?

i got my bottom braces on 2 weeks ago, and they added these little globs of white cement or something on my back upper teeth.. they look like fangs back there.. keep me from biting down all the way

i hate theM :(

Yeah, I got those the first day I got braced on my bottom molars 2nd from back. That was in October and I still have half of one left...the rest has broken off and the other one completely crumbled one day. They haven't put them back on so I guess I don't need them now since those teeth have moved more upright now.

They are supposed to keep you from biting off brackets. You get used to them quickly and now I find myself "hunting w/ my tongue" for the missing one without thinking.
