Well I've been browsing these forums for about 6 months and I finally decide to create a username so I can start posting. I was fitted with Twin Blocks in August of 2004 and I wore them until September 2005. At that point, the Orthodontist put me in Braces. I am scheduled to get them removed in September of this year, but who knows what could happen. I look forward to sharing the rest of my braces story with the people on this board.
Hi KK and thanks for the warm welcome =]. To answer your question, my Twin Blocks were used to relate the upper and lower jaws in a correct position. It was used to help me with my TMJ problem. It was also fitted with an expansion screw to relieve crowding.
