I only had one to get out. Bottom left, which was fully through. I decided not to get the twighlight injection. I have to report , for anyone that still has to have this done IT WAS PAINLESS. I did not feel the jab of the injection AT ALL. He said that he would tug on my cheek, and that was all I felt. He gave me two such jabs, neither was in the slightest bit painful. My gum numbed he just told me that I would feel pressure as he worked the tooth free. That was it , within perhaps 15 minutes he was holding the tooth where I wanted....in his hand! he checked to ensure that all the tooth had come out and then put in some gauze to plug the cavity. I was to keep this in about 15 minutes.
My appointment was for 9am and I was walking out the door at 9.50am. I would urge anyone getting a tooth out to go for the first appointment of the day as I always find the waiting terrible.
My wife and I drove to a local shopping centre and I had a cappuccino and a slice of carrot cake. I did not expect a result like this. I hope that this will help others who have this to go through in the future.
My teeth were a war zone 10 months ago when I got the braces in. I had overcrowding and two of my bottom teeth were at 45 degrees to my gum. Now they are all in line and even though I was told that my teeth would get worse before the operation , they are in fact better than they were, although they are a little bit further forward. Not as much as you would notice however. I never thought that it would take so long but I have to say that the time passes VERY quickly.
So that's all folks for the moment. I have my next ortho appointment on Monday 24th April and I hope that I will now be given more details about when i can expect surgery. Happy easter to everyone and thanks for all the support that this forum gives.
